What bikes will work with the Dan pedal hook system? The pedal hook system is designed to work with all bikes. Road bikes, MTB’s with wide bars (up to 34″ or 863mm) and even heavy cruiser/townies weighing up to 70 lbs. are no problem for the powder coated steel hanger. What pedals will work with the Dan pedal hook system? The spacing and gaps in the Dan pedal hook work for the following pedals: Shimano SPD (road/MTB), Time (road/MTB), Speedplay, Eggbeaters, Crankbrothers, ISSI, Welgo, Look, Exustar or any large BMX or DH platform pedals up to 5″ (127mm) wide. How far does the bike lean out from the wall? A standard road bike with drop bars will be leaning out (at 25 degrees) roughly 26 inches from the wall. This will allow you to stagger multiple bikes by overlapping them. MTB’s with wide bars will stick out a little more.
